" We are a retired couple from Michigan in the United States. We were looking to move to the South of France for one year through an extended VISA. We decided on Aix en Provence because the winters were mild, (no snow) and it was close to train stations and Marseille (airport) for travel throughout Europe. We found that from the United States it is very difficult to find a place to stay for a year, open a bank account, work on a VISA, set up internet, utilities, work with a rental agency and the list goes on. Enter Anne Green. We met Anne through our daughter who knew a friend that knew a friend that knew Anne. My wife calls Anne our Angel on earth, and she is correct. We hit it off immediately, we explained to Anne our trials and tribulations we were having over the past 4 months of our planning and trying to secure the resources such as a bank account, VISA Application, finding a suitable place to rent, and rental insurance. Our move was going to happen in January, so we discussed with Anne a scheduled trip we were making at the end of September. We told Anne our goal then was to try to get an idea about where to rent and to open a bank account. We found out quickly you couldn't do either without an address in France, and a VISA would be easier if you had a sponsor. Anne secured visits to a few apartments while we there to get an idea of our preferences. At that visit Anne offered to sponsor us for our VISA (give us a place to stay until we found a rental unit) and sponsored her address for us to establish a bank account. After this sponsorship was offered, we were able to get our VISA, open a bank account and it allowed Anne to speak on our behalf to find a rental unit. Doors opened and things started falling in place. Anne secured a dryer for our rental unit, set up our utilities, helped us with our cell phones, set up the internet in our unit, all before we arrived. Our Angel on earth. We are here in Aix en Provence now, learning the language, loving the weather, enjoying the kind people, and thanking Anne for making our dream come true. She continues to assist us if we run into a language barrier, or are confused with how something may be handled that is different from what we are used to. The process by no means is an easy one, so many little things you must take care before and after you arrive, we can assure you Anne made the process much more easier than it would have been without her. She is so pleasant, kind, and has a personality that shines like the sun in Aix en Provence. You will love her and her commitment to making the transition more rewarding. "

We are so fortunate that we found Anne Green for our relocation needs. As Americans, we were quite unsure of how French banking and the French legal system operate. Having hoped to live in Aix for more than 20 years, we were still quite lost about how to do that. Meeting Anne helped us realize our dream. She directed us to exactly the right neighborhood for our interests and lifestyle, helped us find a furnished apartment in that neighborhood, helped us open a French bank account, and helped us obtain the necessary insurance coverages. Anne was quite possible the best thing that happened to us during our move to Aix. She began by touring me around the area during a short visit prior to our move, which helped me immensely to understand the surrounding towns and where we may want to live. Then she found us the perfect house, that checked every single box we asked for- pool, close to kids school, room to play outside, enough bedrooms for our family and guests, home office, and so many more. Once we arrived, Anne made our transition much easier by being a resource for our questions, helping setting up utilities, providing us with contacts for purchasing a car, insurance agents, and more. On top of all of this, she was warm, welcoming, quick to respond, and extremely easy to work with. Navigating the French rental property market can be a daunting task when you have little knowledge of the system, even worse if you are not a native French speaker. In the summer we started looking for a new house to rent. However using online searches and trying to organise viewings was very difficult. We did not understand the requirements and documentation needed even just to initiate a viewing with an estate agent. Luckily for us we had kept in touch with Anne who had helped a few years ago when we were here for a 1 year project. After contacting Anne to help us one more time , everything fell into place very quickly. A short discussion with Anne to explain our search criteria was all that was needed. Immediately Anne organised several viewings and on the 3rd viewing we had found a beautiful little Provencal cottage that ticked all our boxes. In the end from starting the searches to signing the contract took less than 1 month. Anne then helped organise setting up the needed facilities to be able to move in (Electricity, Housing Insurance...etc) and also put us in touch with a reliable mover. With Anne's great support we have been able to move without the stress and headaches we would have faced if we had tried to do this on our own.
